How Do I...
Obtain Telephone Advice?
If a face-to-face consultation is not available at the required time and the patient requests telephone advice, a message, giving brief details, can be left with the receptionist who will pass these on to the duty doctor to be dealt with on the same day.
Non-urgent telephone messages will be passed on to the relevant clinician to be dealt with.
Responses cannot be guaranteed for the same day.
How Do I...
Make An Appointment?
Appointments can be made in person, by telephoning 01926 428321 or on this website. For an urgent appointment please telephone as early as possible. Please be prepared to give some indication of the urgency of the problem to the receptionist as this will enable us to arrange an appropriate appointment.
Urgent appointments are dealt with by the duty doctor of that day. Routine appointments can be made up to four weeks in advance to enable us to offer you an appointment at a time most suitable to your requirements with the doctor of your choice. Appointments are of 10 minutes' duration. Quality medicine takes time - doctors can only deal with one or two problems carefully during one visit. Please book another appointment if you have further issues to discuss. In order to try not to keep others waiting we may ask you to rebook your appointment if you arrive late. if you are unable to attend your appointment please let us know the day before so that we can offer the time to someone else.
The practice is pleased to announce that you are also able to book your appointment with the doctor of your choice online. You are able to
book up to two weeks ahead and will be given a range of times to
choose from.

How Do I...
Obtain A Home Visit?
Patients are requested to telephone before 10.30am if a visit is required that day. We ask that these are requested only when you are unable to get to the surgery. Please be prepared to give brief details of the problem as it helps us to decide the degree of urgency and whether special equipment may be required. A doctor may telephone you during the morning. Requests for urgent home visits will be put through to the duty doctor immediately. Late requests for routine or follow-up care received after 11.00am may be held over until the next working day.
How Do I...
Obtain Test Results?
These take time to reach us, so please do not ring before you have been asked to do so. Enquiries about tests ordered by the hospital should be directed to the hospital, not the practice. Please ring after 10.00am for test results and please be aware that, due to confidentiality laws, results cannot be given to a third party.
