Antenatal Clinic
Tuesday 1.00 - 4.00pm & Thursday 9.00am - 12.00 noon
People thinking of starting a family are also encouraged to attend this clinic by appointment.
Child Health Clinic
Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday 1.30 - 3.00pm
This clinic is for immunisations with the nurse, development checks with the doctor and weighing and advice from the health visitor.
Family Planning
Contraceptive care is provided by all the doctors and nurses by appointment during surgery hours.
Asthma Review Clinic
This is run by the practice nurses in conjunction with the doctors and is by appointment only.
Diabetic Clinic
This is run by the practice nurses in conjunction with the doctors and is by appointment only.
Heart Disease Clinic
This is run by the practice nurses in conjunction with the doctors and is by appointment only.
Smoking Cessation Appointments
These appointments are by arrangement with the nurse.
Minor Surgery
The doctors carry out minor surgical procedures by appointment and will be happy to advise you on this.
Non-NHS Examinations
The doctors are happy to carry out medicals, eg insurance and driving licence. Please telephone the surgery for an appointment. Please ask at reception for the charges for these services.
Travel Immunisations And Vaccinations
Please make an appointment with the nurse at least eight weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations not covered by the NHS. A list of charges is held in reception.
Waterside Medical Centre is an authorised Yellow Fever Centre.
Flu Vaccination
An influenza vaccination is particularly recommended for patients over the age of 65 or with heart, lung or kidney disease. Please contact the reception staff in October for details of the vaccination clinic dates.
